As our tagline says, we bring to our communities "youth driven change that matters." We pride ourselves on developing our future leaders by providing opportunities for today's youth to design, implement and lead their own service projects.
Teens are encouraged to seek out issues within their own community and to learn about those issues and their origins. Then they are given the opportunity to develop a program or special event that addresses those needs. We provide support every step of the way and encourage the youth to think "outside the box" in developing their ideas for a program or special event.
Today's youth are our future, and we need to provide for them every opportunity to take their future into their own hands and to institute change within their community and the world around them.
"We cannot always build the future for our youth,
but we can build our youth for the future".
Franklin D. Roosevelt

Global Youth Service Day - This is the largest service event in the world. On this day millions of youth will come out and serve their community. Global Youth Service day has brought together more than 40 million people in thousands of communities worldwide. Each year Pass It Along offers an event for local youth to get involved in.
Box City - In partnership with Sussex County Interfaith Hospitality Network, teens are brought together to learn about homelessness in Sussex County. Teens hear from current and former homeless residents of Sussex County, participate in group activities about homelessness, watch a film about being homeless and end the night by sleeping outside in a cardboard box.
Youth Conference - A one-day event where hundreds of teens representing local high schools come together to learn about Pass It Along and how they can get involved in serving their community. The day incorporates on-site service projects, team building activities, and an inspirational speaker. Students leave with an understanding of what they can do to make a difference in their own community.
We also offer youth leadership progams:
Youth Leadership and Presentation Skills - This program is based on the belief that every young person has the potential to become a good communicator and leader, but this potential needs to be developed. The program’s unique workshop style enables participants to develop their potential through practical experience. This is an 8 week program that will be offered three times throughout the year.
Youth Issues - This program brings youth together though discussion and action while providing opportunities for growth and exploration as an individual and as a part of a diverse community. It is a program that helps youth understand each other by being present in mind and body, being honest with ourselves and others, talking about our own experiences, and listening and giving everyone a chance to speak.
Winners Image - A strong action oriented program with a powerful emphasis on accountability. This is a four week program that will be repeated throughout the year. This program teaches the best ways to connect with your "hidden self" to guide you to success and introduces a daily five point program for materializing your winners image.
Goal Achiever - This 4 week program, run by Tommy Hilcken of Life Success Workshops, is centered on teaching teens how to achieve goals. Some components of the program include:
The difference between
goal setting and goal achieving and how to bridge that gap;
How to set and achieve any goal desired;
Learning the seven secrets behind every great goal achiever.
Please see our calender for monthly programs that youth can get involved with.
