On Thanksgiving day, over 20 cars of people came out in hopes to serve meals to 90+ home bound seniors that would have been otherwise alone and meal-less for the holiday. I receive this email, and wanted to share it with everyone, in hopes that perhaps that volunteer will get the message, and that everyone who helps us can see their impact.
My name is Sheila and I received a call from one of our Meals On Wheels clients who lives in Hopatcong who wanted to thank your volunteer who delivered his Thanksgiving meal to him. I told him that I would pass that message along to you and maybe you could pass it along to the volunteer who delivered to that town that day. He said that it was a woman and her children. His said the meal was delicious and so was the banana nut bread given to him. Thanks to all of the volunteers who delivered that day, especially to our Meals On Wheels clients, some of whom have no family or any family close by. It meant a lot to them to receive a meal on this special day. Thanks again,
