Until Tuesday's Positivity Challenge by Choice!
Pass It Along is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to helping teenagers become confident, resilient and compassionate through volunteerism, leadership and self-discovery. Pass It Along is the only organization in Northern New Jersey that solely targets teenagers, providing service learning as a part of each volunteer experience, enabling a one-on-one connection with the people teenagers are helping and delivering thought provoking self-discovery workshops.
During a global health crisis, we could not think of a better time to practice and emphasize our three pillars on a daily basis. As leaders, we are asking the community look inward and discover just have powerful each and every one of us are, we challenge you to continuously practice volunteerism even amidst a pandemic. But how?
With social distancing and federal laws mandating our communities to stay inside and away from others, we could not think of a better time to help our society remember how important it is to show up and be there for not only other people but for ourselves as well. While stress it at an all-time high, followed by anxieties surrounding isolation and lack of daily activities and routines we are offering up a Daily Positivity Challenge by Choice for all teens, businesses, alumni, and anyone else that is a part of our Pass It Along Community.
Each day we will be proposing a Challenge by Choice that will mirror our three components within our self-discovery program; self-awareness, gratitude and service. This challenge will call upon our youth-leadership programs to help us create each daily challenge in order to assist them in their quest to serve their communities and make the world a better, brighter, and kinder place. Our hope is that our confident, compassionate, and resilient teenagers can help those, as well as themselves, that may be struggling during this time.
We cannot stress enough how we are not asking anyone to put themselves in a situation that would go against the rules and regulations set in place by Governor Murphy; all daily challenges will consist of activities that can be done within or around one’s home setting.
We hope you will join us in passing along hope and positivity, while being the change we ALL wish to see in the world right now.
